
APT - What is APT? It is one of the few models of personality that describes differences in a genuine and positive way.
Preferences are not absolute and are not abilities. It does not tell you what you can or can’t do nor does it reveal about a person’s skills or abilities.
APT is a yardstick of a person’s preference, hence an indicator of how a person deals with the world; which in total defines his personality profile.
There are no better or worse types to be; each type has its strengths with possible pitfalls. The model has since been developed by two well-known psychologists, Briggs and Myers, who wanted to give as many people access to these powerful ideas.
The Indicator is based on the personality theories pioneered by an eminent Swiss psychologist, Carl Jung.
